Pastor J. Leon Gant, Jr. was born and raised in Shreveport, LA to John L. Gant Sr. and Jacqueline K. Gant.  Rev. Gant accepted the call into ministry at the age of 17 on October 14, 1997.  He joined the Mount Hermon Missionary Baptist Church in October of 2011 under the leadership of Dr. O. T. Moses.  Rev. Gant loves the Lord, loves his family, and he loves to serve.  In addition he has etched into the hearts of the members the acronym S.O.S. meaning Sharing Our Savior, which is the effort to engage the membership to be more involved with the true meaning of serving. S.O.S. is in our bloodline to do evangelistic discipleship.
